Hark how the Gospel Trumpet sounds
Thro' all the world the echo bounds:
And Jesus by redeeming blood
Is bringing sinners home to God,
And guides the safely by his word
To endless day.

Gospel Trumpet 99, Stanza 1

Gospel Trumpet 99, Stanza 1
2
Hail! All victorious conquering Lord!
By all the Heav'nly hosts ador'd,
Who undertook for fallen man,
And brought salvation thro' thy name
That we will that might live and reign
In endless day.

3
Fight on ye conquring saints, fight one,
And when the conquest you have won,
Then palms of victory you shall bear,
And in his Kingdom have a share,
And crowns of glory you shall wear
In endless day.

4
Thy blood dear Jesus once was spilt
To save our souls from sin and guilt;
And sinners now may come to God,
And find salvation thro' thy blood
And sail by faith upon that flood
To endless day.

Gospel Trumpet 99, Stanza 2

Gospel Trumpet 99, Stanza 2
5
Thro' storms and calms by Faith we steer,
By feeble Hope, and gloomy Fear,
Till we arrive at Canaan's there
Where Sin and Sorrow are no more,
We'll shout (our trials are all o'er)
To endless day.

6
There we shall in sweet chorus join
With saints and angels, al combine
To sing of his redeeming love
When rolling years shall cease to move,
And this shall be our theme above
In endless day.
